After thinking about this, forgetting and then just now remembering this thread. I think if there’s something I would really like to see is someones view on the way the Great Clans are heading.

I mean personally I think (being a mantis fanboy) that the Mantis are heading in a path that will slowly keep enriching them and making them grow. Their not afraid of bending some rules here or there and their really open. They just seem to not be bound by anything and can become anything they set out to be. It also helps to know that a fortune said that a mantis will one day rule over the empire. Greater things are coming.

When I discovered that the Lion commited Senppuku in protest for the acceptance of the Spider I was shocked that the Lion would just throw away thousands of lives away. Potentially endangering the life of the clan. If trying to be honorable will lead to basically reducing your clan members quota or losing very important people to the clan. I think the Lion are doomed to one day just destroy themselves. Also counting their the other very military clan. So above the Crab they should know the value of life and that every man counts.

Another thing would be Crab. Their goal is just to defend the empire. I’ve always wondered if the Crab after just being on defense for all these years, someone would try to hatch a plan on destroying the big hole to Jigoku. I mean…. a life of just battling and defending the wall? I don’t see apart from the Clan becoming good at defending, grow into anything else beyond that. They’ll just stagnate and stay the same forever.

Again, my knowledge about l5r history is almost non-existant I may be wrong in some points, but I hope I made my point clear.
If possible Id also be curious to know about how the minor clans are doing.

Hmmm… that is a very good idea for an article but I think that would work better as a team effort. Maybe I can throw something together on the clans just as a starting point for others to throw in their thoughts on the matter.
